Remembrance Day is on 11th
November. It is a special day to remember all those who were killed during the
two World Wars and other conflicts.
Remembrance Day was known as Armistice Day
and was renamed Remembrance Day after World War II. Remembrance Sunday is the
Sunday nearest to 11th November on which many church services and
other special services are held at war memorials.
Bringing Remembrance Day into the classroom for children, can be a difficult thing. Pencil Street has developed a range of classroom displays and worksheets to make it easier by providing a
range of FREE teaching resources for teachers.
